U.S. Intelligence officers have stated Friday that a video depicting voter fraud being committed in the state of Georgia by a man from Haiti is fake and is the work of Russian influence actors.” The video that stirred up controversy depicts a person of Haitian descent saying that he plans to vote two times for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger slammed the video on Thursday saying that it was obviously fake” and that this was an attempt made by Russian trolls in an attempt “to sow discord and chaos on the eve of the election. Raffensperger’s findings were later backed by the intelligence community saying the video was indeed a product of Russian influence actors and was part of Moscows broader effort to raise unfounded questions about the integrity of the U.S. election and stoke divisions among Americans.
The election scare comes after several ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington state have been targets of those wishing to interfere in the state’s election results. On Monday, a ballot box at Fisher’s Landing Transit Center in Vancouver, Washington was spotted smoking prompting several officials to converge on the mailbox.

Ballot box fires in Oregon and Washington ‘connected’ as police identify ‘suspect vehicle’
In photos obtained by ABC affiliate KATU, dense gray smoke can be seen pouring out of the dropoff ballot box near Southeast 162nd Avenue just after 6 am. After managing to pry the election box open, police units discovered that there were only the smoldering remains of hundreds of ballots.
Were going to change our ballot retrieval process so that ballots are picked up in the evening, leaving fewer in drop boxes overnight, Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said. It was later reported that the Washington fire was connected to one that occurred at a different ballot box in Portland where police managed to recover an incendiary device.
According to reports, the fire was reported around 3:30 am the 1000 Block of Southeast Morrison Street but was put out by security before firefighters arrived. On Monday afternoon, the Oregon FBI division released a statement they were looking into the matter and that they believed they were connected.
“The FBI is coordinating with federal, state and local partners to actively investigate the two incidents in Vancouver, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, in the early morning hours of Monday, October 28th to determine who is responsible,” they wrote. “Anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest FBI office, provide information through tips.fbi.gov or call 1-800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324).”
Upon further investigation, it was reported that police had managed to identify a “suspect vehicle” in connection to the fires. Surveillance footage captured a Volvo stopping at a drop box in Portland, Oregon, shortly before the fire inside the box was discovered.
Authorities later revealed that a suspect they had been monitoring seemed to be an experienced metal worker and that they may be planning additional attacks. Portland Police Bureau spokesman Mike Benner said that the suspect had a wealth of experience in metal fabrication and welding. Authorities described the suspect as a white man, aged 30 to 40, who is balding or has very short hair.
