ATLANTA/PHOENIX – While playing for the National League runner-up at the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta, Arizona Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte had to deal with a terrifying shock: his Scottsdale home was completely broken into, with more than $400,000 in damage.
“Losing $400,000 is not easy,” Marte admitted through a translator after a 5–3 win over the Cardinals. But he was quick to emphasize:
“But you just move on.”
A Premium Service During the Break
According to manager A.J. Hinch and coach Lovullo, England has placed Marte on the restricted list to give him time to deal with the personal fallout. Scandale: signs of broken doors, jewelry and valuables cleaned up.
