A post from Ellen DeGeneres has resurfaced, leaving many feeling uneasy.
The former host of *The Ellen DeGeneres Show* shared a birthday message for Sean “Diddy” Combs on X (formerly Twitter) on November 4, 2016, referring to him as “Cuddle McSnugglestuff.” The tweet read: “Happy birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why. @iamdiddy.”
This resurfacing comes in the wake of Diddy’s arrest on September 16, where he faces serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. An unsealed indictment has accused him of operating an “enterprise” involved in sex trafficking, forced labor, and other crimes. Diddy has pleaded not guilty and firmly denied any wrongdoing.
Many users found it strange that Ellen used such a playful nickname for the hip-hop mogul. Comments ranged from disbelief to suspicion. One user remarked, “‘Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why.’ Ellen should’ve been under the jail.” Another added, “.. ohhh she fcking knew. ‘… You don’t need to know why….’.” A third commented, “Do you know how sick you gotta be to be on a nickname basis with Diddy??!?!?'” While another noted, “‘Cuddle McSnugglestuff’ Diddy even got Ellen.”
Following his arrest, Diddy is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, having been denied bail twice.
Over the years, Diddy made several appearances on *The Ellen DeGeneres Show*, which aired from 2003 to 2022. In a 2018 clip, he joked about being late to her show, and Ellen playfully mentioned an upcoming party, saying, “But not too late. ‘Cause, you know, once you get there, the party really starts.”
Diddy has a reputation for throwing extravagant parties, often referred to as “freak offs.” Since his arrest, various pictures and videos have emerged showing other celebrities at these gatherings.
