We have seen humans rescue animals a lot, today we will see an animal rescue another animal.
On multiple occasions, we have talked about cats and dogs being rescued by superhero humans who bring actual, positive change in the balance. They rescue animals to counter the terrible acts of the evildoers who abandon these animals. And at times little baby animals are abandoned by their parent animals to spend the rest of their day as a stray but thanks to these people, the animal gets rescued. Ultimately they get taken to a shelter, or a vet as per need with only one goal in mind, that the animals get adopted and enjoy their life in their forever homes.
But today we have got something different for you guys and it is solely based on a mother’s love. You know, mothers will do anything for anyone because their sparkling love is open to everyone. The case is very similar if we talk about animals.
Today’s story is about a stray dog who although barking for days to get any help possible, is also performing parental duties by nursing a little kitten.
As reported by Fox Caroline News, Anderdon’s Animal Control received a call about a dog constantly barking at North Pointe Creek
One of Animal Control’s officers Michelle Smith went out to investigate and get under the matter. As soon as Michelle arrived at the scene, she was quick to spot a Shi-Tzu stuck in a troubling situation. Reacting quickly to help the dog, she rushed to reach where the dog actually was only to be surprised by what she saw.
She found out that the stray dog was actually nursing a little kitten.
Michelle said she had never witnessed such a thing happen in her 17-year-long career.
The officer assumed that the dog must’ve climbed down the hill and could’ve easily climbed back up to get out but the fact that it found a cat on its way down there, it couldn’t get back up with the cat.
Michelle realized the dog was in no mood to leave without the cat and that made her really happy, it was an amazing moment.
It was clear to Michelle that leaving the duo there was going to be very unsafe for them. According to reports, the stray dog had found the cat a few days ago and had been barking ever since in hopes that someone would hear it and come for help.
Gladly someone did hear the SOS and quickly called Anderson’s Animal Control.
Michelle took the cat-dog duo and transported them to Anderson County P.A.W.S. Workers.
Everyone was super excited to see the duo and how strong their bond was.
The cat was super young but the dog had realized that a superhero had rescued them and that now the two were in a safe and secure place. But still, the stray dog didn’t leave the cat’s side for even a second. The dog knew they are in safe hands now but he kept on nursing and licking the cat to make it feel comfortable.
And the rescuers, well they kept doing their job and soon they found a family that was willing to adopt the couple together as one.
The inseparable couple got adopted together. They named their pet dog Goldie and their pet cat Kate.
