Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently under federal investigation, which coincides with a series of lawsuits filed against him alleging serious offenses including sex trafficking, sexual assault, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. This investigation involves multiple individuals, with interviews conducted by federal officials in Manhattan. Law enforcement sources report that federal agents executed search warrants at Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of this ongoing investigation.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) confirmed the execution of law enforcement actions in New York and other locations. During these actions, authorities seized phones from Combs in Miami just before he was set to depart for a trip to the Bahamas. As of now, it is unclear whether Combs made the trip as planned.
The wave of legal challenges against Combs began in November 2023 when his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit accusing him of years of physical and sexual abuse. She settled her lawsuit the day after it was filed, and since then, three additional women have come forward with their own allegations against him. Two of these women reported being teenagers at the time of their alleged assaults.
One of the attorneys representing Ventura, Douglas Wigdor, expressed hope that the current federal investigation would lead to accountability for Combs’ actions. Another accuser, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who worked for Combs from September 2022 to November 2023, has also filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment, drugging, and threats. Combs has vehemently denied all allegations, labeling them as “sickening” and unfounded. His attorney has stated that they possess “overwhelming, indisputable proof” to counter Jones’ claims. The legal troubles have affected Combs’ career, resulting in his stepping down from his position as chairman of the media network Revolt and Hulu pulling back from a planned reality series centered on him and his family.
